Oil markers and acrylics on canvas
20 × 20 × 0.75 in
2024
This series explores connection through repetition, rhythm, and accumulation. Thousands of dots gather into living forms that seem to emerge from the canvas itself, creating spaces that feel both microscopic and cosmic. Each mark becomes part of a larger conversation, suggesting growth, memory, energy, and the invisible bonds that connect all living things.
Floating Heart centers on the image of a heart suspended within a luminous field of blues, violets, and reds. Rather than presenting the heart as a fixed symbol, the painting allows it to dissolve into its surroundings, as if emotion were expanding beyond its boundaries and merging with the world around it.
The dense constellation of dots creates a sense of movement and vibration. The heart appears to pulse, breathe, and radiate outward, transforming personal feeling into a shared experience. The surrounding forms evoke cells, stars, seeds, or living organisms, reinforcing the idea that connection exists at every scale of existence.
In Floating Heart, love is not depicted as a destination but as a living force—one that grows, circulates, and continually finds new ways to connect.
