In the world of the Tourliboulis, harmony does not come from everyone being the same. It comes from countless small points of connection.
The painting is filled with dots—floating, scattered, independent. At first they seem random, but together they create a rhythm that binds the entire scene. They are like musical notes, heartbeats, moments, or encounters. Individually they are small. Together they create harmony.
The figures move among them like dancers in a living score. Some wear flowers as faces, others walk along a winding path suspended between worlds. They seem to be listening to something invisible, responding to a rhythm that exists beyond words.
The flowers echo the dots. Both are simple forms repeated again and again, transforming individuality into community. The smallest circle speaks to the largest flower; the entire composition becomes a network of visual conversations.
In many of my works, dots symbolize time, presence, and connection. Here they become the very fabric of the painting. They link every figure without constraining them, allowing each one to remain distinct while participating in a larger whole.
Dotted Harmony is a celebration of the invisible threads that unite us: shared moments, chance encounters, gestures of kindness, and all the tiny points of contact that quietly compose the music of a life.
Without the dots, there are only figures.
With them, there is harmony.
