Tourlicoulis

“Tourlicoulis” is a word I created to describe the playful lines, spontaneous shapes,
and dancing rhythms that emerged naturally in my early paintings.
Over time, it became my own visual language — a universe of vibrant forms, swirling movements, and intuitive characters.

Original Tourlicoulis

These are the first works in which my visual vocabulary was born. Painted in the early 2000s, the Original Tourlicoulis
pieces capture the instinctive lines, whimsical shapes, and imaginative
figures that later defined my artistic universe. This series represents the spark — the moment
I discovered a personal language of joy, rhythm, and emotion.

Post-Tourlicoulis

These works mark the evolution of my visual language beyond the original Tourlicoulis series.

While the early pieces were driven by instinctive lines and linear movement, the Post-Tourlicoulis works shift toward
a more rounded, shape-based vocabulary. Forms become fuller, more fluid, and more present.

The compositions rely less on line and more on the interaction of color, volume, and organic shapes,
creating a softer yet still dynamic visual rhythm.

This series reflects a natural progression—where structure gives way to expansion,
and the language of the work becomes more open, playful, and immersive.

Tourli-Blue

An evolution toward bolder shapes and richer color.
The lines remain, but frameworks become more structured—
spaces filled with forms, rhythms, and playful compositions.

A bridge between my earliest doodled universe and my later abstract worlds.

Tourli-People

This period marks the transformation of the Tourlicoulis from playful shapes
into complete characters, each with a distinct presence and expressive identity.

Tourli-Space

This series marks a playful expansion of my visual language.
The dense lines soften and give way to bold, floating shapes,
bright color fields, and constellation-like dots.
These paintings feel weightless, as if drifting in dream-space
where figures, creatures, and symbols move freely in their own vibrant universes.
